Ekopak delivered Sarajevo International Airport 10 sets of containers

    Representatives of Ekopak, first authorized operator of the packing waste management system, today delivered Sarajevo International Airport 10 sets of 4 containers each for separate disposal of paper, plastics, glass and general waste.
    Placing the containers will enable passengers and users of Sarajevo International Airport to selectively dispose of the waste in adequate containers as it has become usual at all the airports running business in accordance with the world standards.
    Director of Ekopak, Amela Hrbat, expressed her satisfaction because of the cooperation with the Sarajevo airport, adding that these containers will further contribute to the Airport's image, and on the other side hepl Ekopak to keep building up the awareness of necessity to selective disposal and recycling of the packing waste.
    Sarajevo International Airport proved its dedication to a systematic and adequate waste disposal.
    Environmental technologist of Sarajevo International Airport, Samra Pehilj, explained that the airport company has constantly been following European standards and improvements in all segments of its business, including the environmental management, too.
    "I'd like to mention that the Airport, after being issued the Environmental Certificate in 2010, has already prepared necessary procedures for management of all kinds of waste, but still this is a step forward in improvement of these activities, added Ms Pehilj.
    By handing over these containers for selective packing waste disposal we started cooperation between Ekopak and the Sarajevo airport that will enable establishment of an efficacious system of disposal and recycling of the waste generated at the Airport, concluded the Ekopak representative.
